Mohammad Saide (Staff Reporter): A protest march was held in Keraniganj, Dhaka, at the initiative of BNP and its affiliates. On Friday (February 28) afternoon, the procession, led by Keraniganj Model Police Station BNP, started from Ghatarchar Shaheed Riaz Chattar and ended at Narandir intersection via Joynagar, Ati Bazar, Panchdona Bamunsur and Kholamora. The protest march was attended by a large number of leaders and activists from Shakta Ward 6 BNP and its affiliates. The procession was joined by the main protest march at Ghatarchar Shaheed Riaz Chattar with the participation of about two thousand leaders and activists. The procession started from Ghatarchar Shaheed Riaz Chattar and ended at Narandir intersection via Joynagar, Ati Bazar, Panchdona Bamunsur and Kholamora. A large number of BNP leaders and activists participated in it and raised various slogans against Hasina, the dictator and mass murderer. At the end of the procession, Dhaka District BNP Organizing Secretary Barrister Irfan Ibne Aman Ami delivered a brief speech. He said that the fascist government has taken away the democratic rights of the people of the country. They have amassed power by committing genocide and repression. The people will give a befitting reply to this atrocity and will make them stand before the court of justice. He also said that Sheikh Hasina is making various provocative statements while sitting in India, which can destroy the stability of the country. The people will not allow this conspiracy to succeed in any way. Ziaur Rahman fought by declaring independence, Khaleda Zia re-established democracy by overthrowing the dictatorship, and Tarique Rahman has taken charge of this country’s crisis by restoring voting rights and establishing a people’s government. Whenever the country has reached a critical period, Ziaur Rahman’s family has taken the lead. Those who are drug dealers, extortionists, terrorists, and usurpers have no place in the BNP.
